The day was dark and gloomy
It started like a normal day
But life as I knew it was changing
And there was nothing for me to say
I can talk my way to anything

But I can not talk my way
into keeping every life
Sometimes my words betray me
From the joy I celebrate
They make me lose a lifetime
Of memories, smiles, and pain
To lose a family member
Because I didn’t talk
To lose a family member
Just standing, I’m letting them walk
There is no conversation
To go from family, friends.
I have no way to convince
When my convincing is why it ends
The day is dark and gloomy
It was anything but a normal day
Life changed, I didn’t know it
And only my apology remains.
