Swimming boy

Swimming boy

Left and right without any fright
The little boy ventured from his mother
Towards the pool, his walk went to
One step then followed by another

Down the hill he got his prize
His toes were wet, but from behind
“Turn around,” the young mom said
“We have to wait till supper ends”

There he wait, just a step away
He dared not disobey what his mother say
So back he trot without a second thought
He marched up to eat his bottle hot.

There he sat, best drink in hand
The pool was spoiled, but it will come again
Don’t worry, young worrier, the pool will come
Oh look, in fact, congrats, you’re done.

Down the hill the little boy ran
And stopped at the edge, toes wet again
He turned and saw his mother’s hand
He grabbed it, jumped, splashed and ran

Close behind, his mother followed
In the pool, they splashed one another
Up the fixtures and down the slides
Mom was following close behind

The little boy played hide and seek
The mother let him think he was a sneak
And when he got tired, went to his mother to lie
And she carried that little boy to his towel to stay

Laid out on the towel that young mother packed
Putting everything she brought back into her sack
Picking up the young child, tried not to disturb him
She carried him out, and that little guy deserves it.
